ABOUT
THE CREATOR
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised at the foothills of Stone Mountain, Georgia— a place where, for me, southern charm met imagination. By the age of ten, I was building miniature amusement parks out of cardboard and construction paper in my parents’ basement, long before I knew what an architect was. Theme parks fascinated me — their colors, sounds, and stories — and that wonder became the foundation of how I see the world: as something magical, narrated and full of wonder.
My restless, magpie mind couldn’t sit still for long. In middle school, I began writing short stories for friends. They were rough, clumsy little things — but through them, I discovered the power of words, character, and the way narrative could change how people think and feel. It was the beginning of an obsession that’s still burning.

After studying architecture and design at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville — graduating with full honors in 2012 — I took my first job at a small hole-in-the-wall firm before moving to Nashville, where I became a licensed architect. I soon found myself managing and designing projects that mattered: from the Murfreesboro Forensics Lab to Aphesis House, a community space for incarcerated men seeking restoration.
Now, years later, I’m drawn again to story — to character, to psychology, to the contradictions that make us human. I write to explore male pathology, class struggle, and theology in a world that’s losing its faith in the unseen. Whether through architecture or narrative, I’ve always been chasing the same thing: how creativity shapes our world to make it a better place.
